The 2019 edition of the HoA has been completed. The Open Medal Champion was a 3-peat for Jeremy Wright of Louisville, Ky. Jeremy had to put in overtime to do so. The 36 hole tourney finished in a tie between him and Gary Youngberg of Ames, Iowa. Wright shot 73-75 and Youngberg shot 74-74 resulting in the 36 hole tie of 148 requiring the sudden playoff that lasted 5 holes until Wright nearly drove the short par 4 number 5 at Grandview, chipped to 18 inches and secured his victory with a tap in birdie. Youngberg’s birdie putt just came up short. Gary Youngberg had previously won the title in 2016.
